How will Highland use CSFT revenue?
-
At least 50% of CSFT revenue will be used to reduce property tax for constituents. This amounts to an estimated tax rate decrease of 22 cents, which corresponds to a tax cut of $73 per $100,000 of property value or a potential savings of:
$73 per year for a $100,000 home
- $109 per year for a $150,000 home
- $146 per year for a $200,000 home
- $182 per year for a $250,000 home
-
CSFT revenue will help Highland AVOID the need to sell bonds or take out loans that would cause the district to incur additional debt and interest costs
-
CSFT revenue will be used for yearly budgeted expenses and larger projects such as:
-
Repair/renovate/address parking lots
-
HVAC Replacement at district buildings
-
Repairs/renovations to athletic fields such as football field, tracks, soccer fields, and tennis courts as needed
-
Health Life Safety Projects
-
Restroom/Locker Room Renovations
-
Upgrade Fine Arts Facilities
-
Upgrade technology infrastructure
-
Improvement of building security
